⚠️The technical specifications table (TDS) above is for LyondellBasell Lupolen 2426H low-density polyethylene.
Generally, as an excellent film-level ldpe material, 2426 ldpe pellet contains antiblock agents and slip agents to avoid adhesion of ldpe film during production or storage, improve the production efficiency of ldpe film, and also improve consumers' feeling of use.
Common 2426H LDPE pellet manufacturers
Lyondellbasell Lupolen 2426H LDPE
LyondellBasell Lupolen 2426H LDPE was originally produced by Basell as a second-generation film-grade low-density polyethylene containing 500 ppm of erucamide (slip agents) and 1,000 ppm of antiblock agents. Following Basell’s restructuring, this product line was integrated into LyondellBasell (LYB) and continues to be marketed under the new brand name LyondellBasell Lupolen 2426H LDPE.
⚠️Polymer products with specifications equivalent to Sinopec 2426H, BASF YPC 2426H, CNOOC & Shell 2426H, and Thailand PTT 2426H are all produced by major petrochemical plants under technology licenses granted by LyondellBasell.
⚠️LyondellBasell has licensed its High-Pressure Tubular Reactor Process to the aforementioned refinery; this technology is primarily used to produce LDPE and EVA.Therefore, in essence, there is no technical difference between 2426H LDPE and these other products.
The CNOOC & Shell 2426H LDPE material is produced at the facility in Huizhou, which was jointly established by CNOOC and Shell.
- Compared to LyondellBasell Lupolen 2426H, it offers better visual properties, with a haze of only 7%, slightly lower than the 8% of LyondellBasell.
- However, its technical performance is slightly inferior, with a tensile strength in the transverse direction of only 18 MPa, lower than the 25 MPa of LyondellBasell 2426H.

BASF 2426H LDPE
BASF-YPC 2426H LDPE is a low-density polyethylene produced at the Nanjing plant jointly established by BASF and Sinopec.
-
Poor thermal performance. The Vicat softening temperature is only 90°C, which is lower than the 94°C of LyondellBasell 2426H; the melting point is 108°C, which is also lower than the 110°C of LyondellBasell 2426H. Therefore, it is not suitable for use in high-temperature environments exceeding these temperatures, such as high-temperature food wrap.
-
Its mechanical properties are relatively poor. BASF 2426H LDPE is inferior to LyondellBasell in both tensile strength and impact strength. Its tensile strength in the machine direction is only 20 MPa, and in the cross direction, it is only 12 MPa; its elongation at break in the cross direction is only 580%, and its performance in the machine direction is even poorer, at only 200%.
In conclusion
2426H LDPE particles produced by different manufacturers have their own characteristics.
Choosing a suitable supplier should be weighed based on specific application requirements:
- Balanced performance, easy to manufacture→LyondellBasell 2426H (Production cannot be maintained at a stable level)
- Excellent quality; minor manufacturing defects are acceptable→CNOOC & Shell 2426H
- Significant price advantage→ ZPC 2426H, BASF-YPC 2426H
- Consistent and stable supply, bulk purchasing→Sinopec 2426H
