Tairirex HP8250 is a clear, high impact polystyrene resin (HIPS material) produced by Formosa Chemical & Fiber. It features a melt index of 5.5 g/10 min (200°C, 5 kg), offering moderate flow properties. Suitable for injection molding processes, it finds applications in electronics and appliances, stroller components, LCD displays, and fitness equipment.

High impact resistance, Compared to general-purpose polystyrene resin (GPPS material), Formosa HP8250 HIPS offers superior impact resistance. Tested under ISO 180 conditions, its impact strength reaches 11 kJ/m², significantly exceeding that of GPPS material. It is suitable for manufacturing electronic device housings requiring high impact resistance.
Excellent machinability, As a commonly used high-impact polystyrene resin, Tairirex HP8250 exhibits a melt flow rate (MFR or MFI) of 5.5 g/10 min at 200°C under a 5 kg test environment.
