BASF ELASTOLLAN 1190 A TPU Description

Elastollan 1190A is polyether-based polyurethane resin (TPU material) produced by BASF Chemical Company. The material is transparent and exhibits excellent elasticity, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, fuel resistance, and hydrolysis resistance. It maintains good performance even in low-temperature environments. It is commonly used in the production of industrial and automotive cable protectors, connectors, plugs and terminals, headphones, and similar applications. The material complies with FDA food certification requirements and is suitable for food contact packaging applications.

High hydrolysis resistance, Compared to polyester-based polyurethane materials, BASF 1190 A utilizes a polyether-based polyurethane processing technology, endowing the material with superior hydrolysis resistance. This enables its use in humid environments for manufacturing medical tubing, cable jackets, and underwater applications.
Excellent low-temperature resistance. BASF Elastollan 1190 A TPU material maintains excellent impact resistance even at a test temperature of -30°C. Testing confirmed no fracture occurred in the impact strength (notched Charpy) test. The glass transition temperature can reach -35°C, making it suitable for applications in high-latitude regions and extreme low-temperature environments.
Food grade material. BASF 1190 A TPU resin complies with food contact requirements and has been certified under FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 for rubber products intended for food contact, making it suitable for food contact applications.
