Equate EDGA 6888 HDPE Description

EDGA-6888 is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) polymer developed by Equate Petrochemical Company specifically for the production of blow-molded films. This material features a high molecular weight distribution, which gives the resulting films excellent strength and rigidity, making it an outstanding raw material for producing medium-thickness films.

The Equate 6888 HDPE material we supply comes from the Equate Petrochemical plant in Kuwait. As shown in the image on the left, the pellets are opaque white and disc-shaped.

EDGA-6888 HDPE Advantage

Excellent mechanical properties, Compared to LDPE, Equate EDGA 6888 has a higher molecular weight, which gives the films produced from it superior strength and stiffness. At a test thickness of 15 μm, its fall weight impact strength reaches 170 g, far exceeding that of LDPE. This makes it more suitable for applications that demand high strength and toughness, such as geomembranes, agricultural films, high-strength shopping bags, and trash bags.
Food contact protection, Equate EDGA 6888 complies with standards for food contact applications and has been certified under U.S. FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and European EC Directive 90/128/EC. It is suitable for use in applications involving direct contact with food, and the material offers excellent food contact safety performance.
