BASF Ultradur B 4300 G4 PBT Description

Ultradur B 4300 G4 PBT is a 20% glass fiber-reinforced butylene glycol terephthalate (GF20 PBT) material manufactured by BASF Corporation. It offers excellent dimensional stability, high rigidity, and superior toughness, and is used in the production of automotive parts, coil housings, small motor housings, and more.

BASF Ultradur B 4300 G4 PBT Advantage

GF20 PBT material, BASF B 4300 G4 PBT contains 20% glass fiber reinforcement, giving it better dimensional stability, heat resistance, and higher strength compared to conventional PBT materials.
Better toughness. Compared to the more commonly used BASF Ultradur B 4300 G6 GF30 PBT material, the B 4300 G4 has slightly lower rigidity than the B4300 G6 because it contains only 20% glass fiber. It also exhibits superior flexural properties (flexural modulus: 6,300 MPa; tensile modulus: 7,100 MPa), making it suitable for parts that do not require high mechanical load-bearing capacity but do require high flexural strength.
Improved visual performance. Because BASF B 4300 G4 PBT contains less glass fiber, the incidence of surface defects caused by glass fiber during the manufacturing process is significantly lower than that of B 4300 G6 PBT, and the finished products have a better appearance and a smoother surface.
