DOW ENGAGE 8150 POE Description

ENGAGE 8150 is thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer resin (POE material) manufactured by Dow Chemical. This ethylene-butylene POE material features low melt flow, low-temperature flexibility, excellent impact resistance and a high filler loading capacity; it is commonly used as a toughening agent for PP and PE.

As shown in the figure on the left, Dow 8150 POE is disc-shaped granule with excellent transparency that can be used in a wide range of transparent applications.

DOW ENGAGE 8150 POE Advantage

Balanced mechanical properties. As a commonly used POE material, DOW 8150 offers moderate flexibility and foaming properties, it has a Shore D hardness of 20 and an ultimate tensile strength of 9.5 MPa, making it suitable for use in footwear materials, automotive interiors, and sealing materials.
Good processability. DOW 8150 POE is produced through ethylene-butylene copolymerization. As a toughening agent, it exhibits excellent compatibility with PP and PE; furthermore, its high transparency makes it suitable for general transparent applications.
