Topilene R701G is a polypropylene (PP) polymer manufactured by Hyosung Chemical Corporation of South Korea specifically for medical device applications. It offers excellent transparency, processability, mechanical properties, and is suitable for irradiation sterilization. It is commonly used in the production of disposable medical supplies that require sterilization, such as syringe barrels and syringe needles.

Compared to other medical-grade PP materials, Hyosung R701G PP offers superior radiation resistance and maintains good mechanical properties even after gamma irradiation sterilization. It is suitable for single-use medical devices that require radiation sterilization, such as syringes, intravenous infusion set tubing, and valve assemblies.
Good processability. Hyosung R701G PP has a melt flow index (MFI or MVR) of 20 g/10 min under test conditions of 230°C and 2.16 kg; its high flow rate facilitates the production of thin-walled and complex medical components.
