BASF Ultradur B 4520 PBT pellet Description
Ultradur B 4520 is a polybutylene terephthalate resin pellet (PBT material) produced by BASF. It contains no fillers and has a melt flow index of 19 cm³/10 min (at 250°C, 2.16 kg). Characterized by rapid cooling molding and laser welding capability, it is commonly used in the processing of office equipment components, coil skeletons, home appliance parts, and industrial components.

- Excellent machinability, BASF B 4520 PBT material exhibits a melt index of 20 cm³/10 min at 250°C and 2.16 kg in the test environment. It is suitable for injection molding processing equipment, with a viscosity index of 130 mL/g. This medium-viscosity material features rapid cooling properties and is compatible with most processing equipment, making it equally suitable for high-speed processing.

- Exceptional electrical performance. BASF B4520 PBT has a volume resistivity of 1E14 ohm·m and a surface resistivity of 1E13 ohm·m. Its comparative tracking index (CTI) reaches 550 under Liquid A test standards, demonstrating excellent insulation properties. It finds extensive applications in electrical engineering and electronic equipment.
- Good physical properties. BASF B 4520 PBT material exhibits excellent dimensional stability, with water absorption of only 0.5% at 23°C—significantly lower than polyamide materials. The thermal deformation temperature of BASF B 4520 PBT reaches 165°C under a 0.45MPa test environment, making it suitable for applications requiring high-temperature resistance.
