BASF Ultrason P 3010 PPSU Description

Ultrason P 3010 is a polyphenylsulfone(PPSU) polymer manufactured by BASF Corporation. This material offers excellent heat resistance, chemical stability, impact resistance, and food contact safety, and is specifically designed for the production of baby bottles. The material has a natural transparent amber color and is easy to color and process.

Excellent high temperature resistance. Compared with other materials, Ultrason P 3010 PPSU has higher high temperature resistance. It can work continuously in an environment with a temperature of 180°C and can be sterilized by high pressure and high temperature steam for more than 10,000 times. P 3010 PPSU is more suitable for manufacturing baby bottles for long term steaming and sterilization.
Food contact certificated. As a polymer material specifically designed for the production of infant and toddler feeding bottles, BASF 3010 PPSU complies with relevant food contact requirements. This material contains no additives and has obtained food contact material certifications under U.S. FDA CFR 21, Commission Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006, and China’s GB 4806.6, making it safe for use in food applications.
Good transparency. The feeding bottle container made of BASF P 3010 PPSU is a transparent amber color and offers high transparency, making it easy to see the contents and convenient for consumers to operate later.
Good impact resistance. Ultrason P 3010 PPSU has excellent impact resistance,In a test environment at 23°C, the Charpy notched impact value is 75 kJ/m², whereas under unnotched conditions, the material does not fracture, which is significantly higher than other polymer materials. It has excellent performance in feeding bottles that are often bumped.
