Celanese Hostaform C 9021 POM Description
Hostaform C 9021 is basic grade copolymer polyoxymethylene (POM-C) materialproduced by Celanese, has high temperature resistance, hydrolysis resistance, food contact grade, high hardness, high toughness, chemical resistance, etc. C 9021 POM has a wide range of applications in the automotive field, electronic and electrical equipment, home appliances, and precision engineering applications.
Celanes Hostaform C 9021 POM Advantage
- Food contact grade POM material, C 9021 POM has received special certification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for food contact with formaldehyde based resins—FDA 21 CFR 177.2470—and can be safely used in applications such as food processing conveyor belts and food processing rollers.
- Higher hardness: Compared to copolymer polyoxymethylene (POM-H), Hostaform C 9021 adopts homopolymerization processing (POM-C), which makes the POM material have better hardness and rigidity. The ball pressure hardness reaches 144MPa under 30s test environment, which is higher than the POM-H material of the same grade. It is suitable for scenarios with higher requirements for product structural hardness.
- Good processability. As a commonly used POM resin, Hostaform C 9021 has a melt volume rate (MVR) of 9 g/10 min under test conditions of 190°C and 2.15 kg, indicating moderate flow. It is suitable for various processing methods, including conventional injection molding and extrusion. Additionally, this material contains a release agent, facilitating large-scale, high-speed production of products.
