ENEOS LC Xydar NC-301 LCP Description
Xydar NC-301 is liquid crystal polymer material produced by ENEOS LC. It has excellent flow properties, allowing it to be used in thin-walled parts. It can maintain excellent mechanical properties in extreme high-temperature environments above 300°C (572°F) and has excellent flame retardancy and chemical resistance. It has unique advantages in coatings, composite materials, connectors, additives, and surface mount technology (SMT) for motor components and lamps.

Xydar NC301 LCP material is available in two standard colors: natural and black.
As shown in the image on the left, ENEOS Xydar NC301 Natural LCP material is a pale yellow, nearly cylindrical granule. Because it contains 30% glass fiber, the surface is not smooth.

- Extremely high-temperature resistance. Xydar NC-301 is an engineering plastic with exceptionally high-temperature resistance, maintaining excellent mechanical properties in operating environments exceeding 320°C. Its heat deflection temperature reaches 281°C at 1.8 MPa under ASTM D648 testing standards, making it suitable for use in extremely high-temperature environments.
- Excellent electrical performance. Under the ASTM D150 test standard, the dissipation factor at 1MHz of Xydar NC-301 LCP material is only 0.029, the volume resistivity is 1.6E+16Ω.cm, and the dielectric strength reaches 46.0KV/mm. In the application of electronic and electrical equipment, it can ensure the normal electromagnetic signal and minimize the signal attenuation caused by the material.
- Extremely strong mechanical properties. Due to its unique structural properties, Xyadr NC-301 LCP material has mechanical strength and modulus levels far exceeding those of conventional engineering plastics. The tensile modulus under 3.2mm testing conditions is as high as 17.0GPa, and the flexural modulus is as high as 14.7GPa, far exceeding the mechanical properties of conventional glass fiber reinforced plastics resin.
- Excellent dimensional and creep resistance. NC-301 LCP material has excellent chemical resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and moisture resistance, with a water absorption rate of only 0.02% and outstanding wear resistance, making it a good choice for super-precision parts.
