Formosa Tairiloy AC3100 PC/ABS Description

Tairiloy AC3100 is a polycarbonate+Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (PC/ABS plastic alloy) material produced by Formosa Chemical. AC3100 PC alloy has high temperature resistance and flame retardant properties and is used for thin wall applications such as display housings, notebook housings, home appliance housings, and hard disk housings.

Formosa Tairiloy AC3100 PC/ABS Advantage

Flame retardant PC/ABS. Tairiloy AC3100 PC/ABS material offers high performance flame retardant properties, achieving UL 94 V-0 rating under 1.5 mm test conditions; V-0,5VB rating at 2.3 mm; and a V-0,5VA rating at 3.0 mm, It is free of bromine and chlorine, has minimal corrosive effects on electronic components, and is suitable for the production of thin-walled electronic products that require flame retardancy.
Excellent impact resistance. Compared with conventional polycarbonate materials,Tairiloy AC3100 PC/ABS, due to the incorporation of ABS—a polymer material with high toughness, this allows it to maintain excellent impact resistance even in low-temperature environments.
Easier to process, Compared to PC resin, Tairiloy AC3100 PC/ABS alloy has lower processing temperature, its melt flow index (MFI) of 17 g/10 min (at 260°C and 2.16 kg), with moderate flow rate. It is suitable for injection molding and can be used in the vast majority of production equipment. Products made from AC3100 PC/ABS material feature smooth surface, high gloss and excellent appearance.
