Asahi Kasei Tenac 3010 POM pellet Description
Tenac 3010 is acetal homopolymer resin pellet (POM-H material) produced by Asahi Kasei Corporation. It has a melt index of 2.8g/10min (2.16kg at 190°C), is a high viscosity POMmaterial with high toughness, high impact resistance, high rigidity, high strength, fatigue resistance and dimensional stability. Tenac 3010 POM material is mainly used in the production of high precision parts such as bearings, transmissions, engineering accessories, automotive parts, gears, and bayonet joints.

Tenac 3010 acetal homopolymer (POM-H) is supplied by Asahi Kasei Engineering Plastics’ factory in Japan. The form of the material is shown in the image on the left; Tenac 3010 white POM consists of small, nearly spherical granules.

Asahi Kasei Tenac 3010 POM pellet Advantage
- Automotive applications POM material. Tenac 3010 POM material meet the material specifications of numerous automakers, including BMW, Bosch, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, ITT Inc., Mercedes-Benz Group, Continental AG, and Volkswagen Group, and can be used directly in automotive applications.
- Improved fatigue resistance. Tenac 3010 POM has a higher molecular weight than conventional POM, giving it better creep resistance and fatigue resistance, which effectively extends the product’s service life. It can be used in automotive door locks, electric seat gears, windshield wiper drive mechanisms, slide rails, and precision gears.

The figure on the left shows a comparison of the fatigue resistance of Tenac 3010, Tenac 2010, and conventional high-viscosity POM materials under repeated vibration. Whether at 23°C or at a high temperature of 80°C, Tenac 3010 POM-H exhibits more than 100% greater resistance to repeated vibrations than conventional POM under the same stress conditions.
- Better mechanical strength. Tenac 3010 POM is manufactured using homopolymer process, which gives it superior strength, impact resistance, and stiffness compared to standard acetal copolymer (POM-C) (For specific differences, see Table 1.). In terms of performance, it can be used as a substitute for DuPont Delrin POM
