Asahi Kasei TENAC-C 4520 POM pellet Description
TENAC-C 4520 is polyaetal copolymer (POM-C material) produced by Asahi Kasei Corporation. It has a melt index (at 190°C 2.16kg) of 9g/10min, contains mold release, lubricant components and has good lubrication properties. TENAC-C 4520 is commonly used in the production of automotive parts, gears, power tools, mechanical accessories and other applications that require outstanding lubrication and wear resistance.

As shown in the figure on the left, standard Tenac C4520 is white POM in the form of nearly spherical pellets.
The Tenac C4520 POM-C we offer is manufactured at two locations: the Asahi Kasei plant in Japan and Asahi Kasei POM (Zhangjiagang) Company Limited in China. There is no difference between the products from these two locations.

- Automotive applications POM material. As POM material suitable for automotive applications, Tenac-c 4520 meets the standards of numerous automakers, including Bosch, GM, Nissan, and Volkswagen, and is used in numerous automotive manufacturing applications worldwide.
- Better dimensional stability. The mold shrinkage of homopolymer formaldehyde is 1.8–2.2%, while that of Tenac-C 4520 POM is 1.6–2.0%; its higher dimensional stability makes it more suitable for precision parts manufacturing.
- Good processing properties. Compared to the homopolymer POM Tenac 3010, Tenac-C 4520 POM-C has a melt flow index of 9 g/10 min (at 190°C and 2.16 kg), making it more suitable for the processing of thin-walled and precision parts; at the same time, it offers a wider processing temperature range of 180–210°C, resulting in lower risks of thermal degradation and formaldehyde release, as well as greater tolerance for processing temperature variations.
