 Formosa Tairiloy AC2300 PC/ABS Description 

Tairiloy AC2300 is Polycarbonate and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene blend plastic material produced by Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corporation, also known as"PC/ABS"or"PC+ABS". With excellent impact resistance, flexibility and processability, as well as the ability to be electroplated, it is commonly used in the production of automotive interior and exterior trim.

The Tairiloy AC2300 PC ABS alloy material we supply is sourced from Formosa Chemical Industries (Ningbo) Company. Standard colors include Tairiloy AC2300 – Natural; Tairiloy AC2300 BK – Opaque Black.

Tairiloy AC2300 PC/ASB natural-colored resin appears as milky white cylindrical pellets, as shown in the figure on the left.

Formosa Tairiloy AC2300 PC/ABS Advantage

  • Electroplated plastic. Compared to conventional plastic materials—particularly polycarbonate(PC resin)—the greatest advantage of Tairiloy AC2300 PC ABS is its suitability for electroplating, which gives finished products excellent aesthetic properties. It is particularly well-suited for applications with high aesthetic requirements, such as automotive emblems, bathroom showerheads, and automotive interiors.
  • High impact resistance. Tairiloy AC2300 PC/ABS blend material has a cantilever beam notch impact of 55kg-cm/cm at 3.2mm and 23℃ test environment, and a simply supported beam notch impact of 50kJ/㎡ at 4.0mm, which is much higher than conventional PC or ABS materials. It is suitable for use in mechanical equipment housings with high impact resistance requirements.
  • Good machinability. Tariloy AC2300 PC ABS has a melt flow index (MFI) of 9 g/min under test conditions of 240°C and 5 kg, indicating a moderate flow rate. It is suitable for use in standard injection molding equipment and has relatively broad processing requirements.
