INEOS NOVODUR P2MC ABS Description
NOVODUR P2MC is an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) material manufactured by INEOS Styrolution Group GmbH specifically for electroplating. It offers excellent impact resistance and high flowability, making it easy to process. It is suitable for automotive interiors, electroplated automotive components, cosmetics packaging, and shower fixtures.
INEOS NOVODUR P2MC ABS Advantage
- Electroplating-compatible ABS[1], INEOS P2MC is specifically designed for electroplating processes. Products electroplated with this material exhibit excellent aesthetic properties and are suitable for sweat-resistant automotive interiors and door handles, as well as showerheads and faucets that require superior visual appeal.
⚠️INEOS P2MC ABS is specifically designed for electroplating applications. Although INEOS GP-22 ABS can also be electroplated, products made from Terluran GP-22 ABS tend to have unstable plating layers that are prone to peeling and defects such as pitting and bubbles. Therefore, if electroplating of ABS is required, we recommend using INEOS P2MC.
- Good processing. INEOS P2MC has a melt volume rate (MVR) of 25 cm³/10 min at 220°C and 10 kg, indicating a medium-to-high flow rate, making it suitable for the injection molding of thin-walled and complex products.
