Chimei Polylac PA-709 ABS Description

Polylac PA-709 is acrylonitrile -butadiene-styrene resin pellets (ABS material) manufactured by Chimei Corporation. It exhibits excellent cold resistance and exceptional low-temperature toughness. The final products maintain superior impact resistance even when used in environments below -30°C. Chimei PA-709 ABS material is commonly used for producing motorcycle parts, helmets, pipes, and applications in high-latitude regions with significant demand for low-temperature ABS.

The PA-709 ABS material we supply comes from Chimei Corporation’s Taiwan plant. As shown in the image on the left, it consists of cylindrical, beige pellets with a good gloss. Please contact us if you require a custom color.

Under the ISO 178 testing standard, its flexural modulus reaches 1.8 GPa after testing at 2.0 mm thickness. and an Izod notch impact strength of 37 kJ/m² at 23°C. Its impact resistance significantly surpasses that of conventional ABS materials, making it suitable for applications demanding high impact performance such as safety helmets, extruded pipes, automotive spoilers, and motorcycle fenders.
ABS material with low-temperature impact resistance, Chimei Polylac PA-709 ABS material exhibits exceptional weather resistance, maintaining superior mechanical properties even in cold environments. At -30°C, it achieves an Izod notch impact strength of 27 kJ/m² and a Charpy notch impact strength of 29 kJ/m². Products manufactured from this material are suitable for high-latitude regions such as Russia, Sweden, and Norway.
