INEOS Lustran 348 ABS Description

Lustran 348 is a medical grade Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS material) produced by INEOS Styrolution. It is natural color's granular form and is certified for use in medical related fields by the FDA and ISO 10993. The material is also USP Class VI biocompatible and can be used in medical-related applications such as diagnostic equipment, IV infusion kits, and surgical instruments. With a melt index of 19 cm³/10min, it can be processed in a variety of ways, making it easy to process and operate.

INEOS Lustran 348 ABS Pellets Advantage

Good biocompatibility. As an ABS material specifically used in the field of medical equipment, Lustran 348 has good biocompatibility and has obtained multiple medical related certifications such as FDA, ISO 10993, and USP Class VI. It can be used in conventional medical fields such as diagnostic equipment, intravenous infusion kits, and surgical instruments.
Good impact resistance. INEOS Lustran 348 ABS has an A-notch Izod impact of 20kJ/㎡ and a simply supported beam notch impact of 14kJ/㎡ under a 23℃ test environment. Even at a low temperature of -30℃, it can still maintain good impact resistance, making it suitable for medical equipment that requires high impact resistance.
INEOS 348 ABS granules have good processing performance. The melt index of the pellets is 19 cm³/10min at 220°C and 10kg test environment. They can be processed by injection molding, extrusion molding, blow molding and calendaring. The processing is easy to operate and has relatively wide processing requirements for equipment.
