LG MABS TR558A MABS Description

MABS TR558A is a modifiedAcrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene material (MABS material) produced by LG Chemical, is made of ABS and methyl methacrylate (MMA). Compared with conventional ABS materials, its biggest feature is very good transparency. Its flexibility and rigidity are almost the same as those of ABS materials. The finished product has a glossy appearance, higher weather resistance, and is not easy to turn yellow. TR558A ABS is suitable for the production of cosmetic bottles and toy shells that have high requirements for product appearance.

LG chem TR558A has both the rigidity and impact resistance of ABS materials and excellent transparency and glossiness.The transmittance of TR558A ABS material under the ASTM D1003 test standard reaches 90%, and the haze is only 1.8%. The optical performance is much higher than that of conventional ABS materials. It is suitable for products with high requirements on product appearance, such as cosmetic bottles, toy shells, electronic equipment shells, etc.
Excellent processing performance, LG MABS TR558A ABS material has a melt index of 25g/cm³ at 220°C and 10kg, making it suitable for injection molding. Its shrinkage at 3.2mm and 23°C is only 0.4-0.7%, making it suitable for manufacturing complex parts with high precision requirements.
