Sinopec 275 ABS Description

Sinopec Gaoqiao Petrochemical's 275 injection molding Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene resin pellet (ABS material) has a melt index of 9.5g/10min and offers advantages such as high temperature resistance, high impact resistance, good electrical properties, and convenient processing. Sinopec ABS 275 is used in many applications, including automotive parts, building materials, home appliance housings, and communications applications.

Sinopec 275 ABS Advantage

Better appearance. Sinopec 275 ABS is produced via the bulk polymerization process, in which acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene is polymerized in a single step under high temperature and high pressure conditions, Since fewer processing aids are used, the resulting products have a whiter appearanceandlower volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, making them more suitable for applications with strict VOC requirements, such as automotive interiors.

The figure above compares Sinopec 275 ABS VS ABS produced by the emulsion process. As can be seen, in its natural state, Sinopec 275 ABS is whiter.

Good temperature resistance. Standard ABS materials typically have a temperature resistance of only 80°C, whereas Sinopec 275 ABS has a heat deflection temperature of 100°C under a test pressure of 0.45 MPa. It can withstand brief exposure to temperatures up to 110°C, making it suitable for the temperature requirements of general household appliances.
Moderate impact resistance. Sinopec 275 ABS has an Izod impact strength of 27 kJ/m² at 23°C, which is higher than that of standard ABS materials. It is suitable for applications that require a certain level of impact resistance, such as toys and appliance housings.
