Makrolon 2458 medical grade polycarbonate (PC material) produced by Covestro AG, is a high performance medical grade plastic material suitable for ethylene oxide sterilization and steam sterilization. Commonly used in the production of medical devices that require repeated sterilization

- Medical PC material. Makrolon 2458 PC resin is specifically designed for medical device applications and is suitable for ethylene oxide (EtO) and 121°C steam sterilization. Additionally, this material has passed the ISO 10993-1 (No more than 30 days of contact with the human body) biocompatibility testing and USP Class Ⅵ for medical devices and can be used with confidence in medical-related applications.
- Good processing performance. Makrolon 2458 PC has a melt volume rate of 19 cm³/10 min at 300°C and 1.2 kg. Its high melt flow rate makes it suitable for conventional injection molding equipment and offers advantages in the production of thin-walled and complex products.
