Covestro Makrolon 2405 PC pellet Description
Makrolon 2405 is polycarbonate resin pellet (PC material) manufactured by Covestro AG. With a melt index of 20g/10min (300°C, 1.2kg), it features low viscosity and excellent demolding properties. It is suitable for producing lampshades, transparent equipment housings, and a wide range of other applications.

The Covestro Makrolon 2405 PC we offer is manufactured by Covestro Shanghai Investment Co., Ltd. It is supplied in cylindrical pellets, as shown in the image on the left. Standard colors include Makrolon 550115 (transparent, colorless) and Makrolon 901510 (opaque black). Please contact us if you require other colors.

- Excellent mechanical properties, As Covestro's primary polycarbonate resin pellet product, Makrolon 2405 has a tensile modulus of 2400 MPa and a flexural modulus of 2350 MPa., demonstrating excellent rigidity and strength.
- Good machinability. Makrolon 2405 PC exhibits melt volume rate (MVR) of 20g/10min at 300°C 1.2kg, high melt flow rate and low viscosity make it particularly suitable for the production of thin-walled, complex and precision parts. Additionally, this material incorporates mold release agents to minimize residue in molds, facilitating efficient product processing.
- High Transparency, Since Makrolon 2405 PC contains no additives, it offers superior transparency, with a haze of only 0.8% at 3,000 μm and a refractive index of 1.585. Even at a thickness of 4,000 μm, its light transmission remains as high as 87%, making it suitable for applications that require high clarity.
