Covestro Makrolon 2807 Advantage

• UV resistant PC. Makrolon 2807 PC resin and Makrolon 2805 show virtually no difference in performance, but they contain benzotriazole UV absorbers that effectively reduce the risk of yellowing and performance degradation caused by prolonged exposure to UV radiation, thereby extending the product’s service life. They are particularly suitable for the manufacture of products intended for long-term outdoor use and equipment housings.
• Better mechanical strength. Compared to the more commonly used high-flow PC—Makrolon 2407, Makrolon 2807 offers better flexibility and impact resistance due to its higher molecular weight. This improves its resistance to environmental stress cracking (ESC) and extends its service life

• High-temperature-resistant PC material. Makrolon 2805 PC material exhibits high heat resistance, achieving a heat deflection temperature of 137°C at 0.45 MPa. In ball pressure tests, the material demonstrates heat resistance up to 136°C. It is suitable for applications requiring heat dissipation, such as appliance housings and automotive lamp covers.
